Ken Peterson grew up in Michigan, the son of parents who owned a real estate and construction company. At the age of 14 he moved with his family to Arizona in time to attend a college preparatory high school. During this time he was mentored by his parents who taught him the family business, where he learned the fine art of hard work and dedication. He went on to Arizona State University and then plunged into the construction business.
Ken has more than 35 years of experience in the new home industry, more than 25 of them as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Shea Homes’ Arizona Division. During his time at Shea Homes, he has led his team through the best and worst economic times and the attainment of the highest local and national awards in the home building industry. More importantly, he inspires his team to deliver unparalleled customer service and build the finest homes and communities in America. Additionally, he is regarded as a local industry expert by TradePartners, peers and media. To date, and the cause of his gray hair he says, Peterson has managed more than 29,000 new home closings--ultimately, earning him a self-proclaimed “PHD in Sales Success.”
Throughout his life he has continually earned and excelled in leadership roles; has led the integration of new technologies to enhance the home buying experience, co-developed Foundations (a national Sales Training program), is a proficient facilitator of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, is a proud father of two, photographer and loves to travel. We talked with Ken about this latest project, the stunning luxury homes at AZURE.
